Tour Plan

Welcome to Kenya! Our tour manager will receive you at the airport in Nairobi and take you to your hotel for check in. Discover Nairobi, the safari capital of Africa and a city that never seems to sleep, by night. Experience the fantastic music scene and one of the many excellent restaurants.

A place of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, Samburu National Reserve lies on the fringes of a vast and arid desert, whose heat-scorched scrublands extend all the way to the jade-green waters of Lake Turkana and beyond. Samburu provides one of the few sanctuaries in Kenya for the endangered Grevy’s zebra and the rare Beisa Oryx whilst large herds of elephant roam the gaunt hills during the day before returning to bathe on the banks of the river in the evening. Experience a combined camel and walking safari. You will usually walk for two to four hours or so in the early morning and relax through the heat of the day, with the opportunity to stroll further in the afternoon and evening.

Spend the whole day in Samburu National Reserve with game drives in the morning and afternoon. All meals and overnight at the lodge.

Depart after breakfast and drive towards central Kenya to arrive at the Aberdare Main Gate and check in the base hotel for lunch. Later depart in a shuttle bus to a tree house for the rest of the afternoon.

The Aberdares offer striking mountain scenery - a mix of the Alps combined with stretches of dense jungle and amazing waterfalls, with the largest a stunning 300m plunge. You can also see lots of animals as the park has a high concentration of buffaloes, elephants, hyenas and the rare bongo antelope at the comfort of your balcony as they come to the watering point adjacent to the lodge.

Depart after breakfast and drive to the base hotel to rejoin your drive guide and proceed to L, Nakuru.

Lake Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes with its shores populated at times by more than one million flamingos which have been called "the greatest bird spectacle on earth". Game drives offer you the opportunity to get as close as ten meters to this spectacle and to see giraffe, rhino and the elusive tree climbing lions. Enjoy the variety of wildlife combined with its striking and varied landscapes - driving through the savannah, passing by the lake and the swamps and negotiating the rocky path up to the baboon cliffs with their stunning views across the entire park will create a sense of wonder and admiration in even the most travelled visitor. Stopover at the Equator and the Thompson’s Falls for a photo session. Proceed to arrive for lunch at the lodge. An afternoon game drive will provided, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

The Masai Mara – endless seas of golden grass dotted with hesitant shrubs, broken here and there with the ghostly acacia trees and ringed by distant hills, the chocolate Mara river waters with frolicking hippos, immensely rich animal life including countless game and large prides of lions – fulfils the expectations of any visitor searching the African landscapes portrayed in movies such as "Out of Africa". From July to October, this is the sight of one of the most spectacular and dramatic sites on earth - the annual migration of one million wildebeests and 200,000 zebras following the seasonal rains in a quest for the best pastures, finding along the way the crocodile-crowded river.

Depart after breakfast and drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stopver at Narok town. Proceed to arrive for lunch at the lodge. At 1600hrs your guide will pick you for a game drive in the park. Return to the lodge dinner and overnight stay.

Spend the whole day in Masai Mara with full day game drives in the park. All meals and second overnight will be provided.

Flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi (approx. 1 hour)

After breakfast, depart with an enroute game drive and drive to the airstrip to connect a flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be picked to enjoy an active or relaxed day in Nairobi. Experience one of the lively and colourful street markets, the fantastic music scene and one of the many excellent restaurants. Alternatively, discover the Karen Blixen museum, giraffe centre where you can feed giraffes or venture into Nairobi National Park, just outside town, with its cliffs and forests and large herds of Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Giraffe and more. Depending on your time of departure, a transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your flight.
